The Sacrament of Confirmation is typically offered to youth in the third year of our faith formation program. Conferred through the laying on of hands, anointing with chrism, and prayer, the baptized recipient is strengthened by the Holy Spirit so that he or she can steadfastly profess the Catholic faith.
This sacrament brings a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit as it was once granted to the Apostles at Pentecost. Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world.
Adults who have not yet been confirmed have preparatory programs available as well.
